Bundled Local Service provides for discount pricing from MetTel vs Verizon's
services.
Key Benefits:
 |
Combines local calling, regional calling,
in-state long distance, and out-of-state long distance in a single
plan. |
 |
Two plans are available: Basic Service
and Enhanced Service |
 |
Both plans have 2000 minutes (33.3
hours) per month of local calling per phone line |
 |
Additional minutes beyond the 2000
are 2 cents per minute. |
 |
Basic
Service:
$29.95/month |
 |
Enhanced
Service: $39.95/month.
Same as Basic Service except bundles additional features such as call waiting,
call forwarding, 3-way calling, voice mail, etc. at no additional charge.
If you currently use these additional features with Verizon, this can save
you money. |
 |
Long distance (regional toll calls,
in-state long distance, and out-of-state long distance) is at 6.9 cents/minute.
If you do mostly regional and/or in-state calls, this long distance is
great. |
 |
If you do only small amounts of local
calls, then choose the Measured Local Service option previously described.
To calculate which is best, look at your current Verizon local bill, find
the total number of local minutes charged, divide by 3, multiply by 7.5 cents
(0.075 for 3 minutes), and add the Verizon basic monthly rate. For example,
if you had 1000 minutes of local calls: 1000 / 3 = 333.3 x .075 = 24.99 +
17.69 = $42.68 (this is the approximate cost for Verizon's service). As the
Basic Service is $29.95, then MetTel Basic Service would be better. MetTel's
Enhanced service would even be less expensive. Compared against MetTel's
Measured Local Service, the calculation would be: 1000 / 3 = 333.3 x 0.072
= 23.99 + 14.60 = $38.59 (approximate cost for Measured Local Service) |
To obtain the Bundled Service, there are 2 forms that you need. The
first form takes about 2 minutes to fill out, the second, about 4 minutes.
You can download the forms now (.PDF format), or give us a call and we can
fax you the forms. In addition, if you have any questions, just give us a

If you have an existing toll-free number, you can also transfer this to MetTel's
long distance service under the Bundled Local Service plans. Call for this
special form used to transfer toll-free numbers.
After filling out the forms, just fax (or mail) the two forms along
with a copy of your current Verizon's monthly bill. Your Verizon bill will
ensure that all your current services are seamlessly transferred to MetTel's
service and insures accuracy of the transfer operation.
